Mount Pleasant's America 250 Celebration Walking Tour

In 2014, downtown Mount Pleasant, Michigan became recognized by the National Park Service (NPS) as a Historic District, known as the Mount Pleasant Historic Downtown District, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHS). This is the United States Federal Governments official list of sites, buildings, structures, districts, and objects deemed worthy of preservation for their historical significance or "great artistic value". 

The Isabella County Historical Society used the document submitted to the NPS along with other records to create this walking tour for the public. As you walk downtown, you will see QR codes in the windows of our downtown buisnesses. Scan them, and it will bring you to some quick facts about the property, building, and the buisnesses that call downtown home.
